The Hartje Groen & De Boshut (Green Heart & Forest Cabin) campsite is hidden in the woods in the middle of De Maashorst nature centre – Brabant’s largest continuous nature reserve. Voted by the Dutch review site Zoover as the best campsite in Brabant 2018, this natural camping ground is located in a centuries’ old estate with various grazing animals, a really unusual natural phenomenon (‘Wijst’) and lovely cycling and walking paths and bridleways through the extensive woods and heathland.
The Docus Das adventure walk with its large playing field, cable ropeway, the Binnenpret (Indoor Fun) playroom and other natural places to play make it extra fun for young families and adults with (grand)children. Next to this is the campers’ club room which, according to a previous guest is an ‘Excellent and homely ‘bad weather’ room with an open fireplace, bookcase, magazines and games.’ Discover the agreeable Brabant lifestyle with its accent on homely, friendly, rural, hospitable and enjoyable.
Nature lovers and those wanting relaxation are in the right place at Hartje Groen & De Boshut. For example, a face to face meeting with a European bison, an Exmoor pony or a bull: these grazing animals are at home at De Maashorst.
Choose a spacious family pitch on the family field, closer to the water on the Bremweide, or try real natural camping with plenty of privacy in the Holenbergbos woods. Hartje Groen also offers a number of log cabins and De Kiet is an attractive group accommodation with a communal log cabin and six ‘simple, basic and very attractive’ overnight rooms on separate grounds by the water.
Perfect for a back to nature weekend or, as Janne and Vincent commented: ‘It was the nicest, most genuine, authentic and likeable campsite I have ever seen!! An experience never to be forgotten, many thanks!’
Be enchanted by the charm of ‘t Hart, the comfortable campers’ club room, enjoy a delicious snack or a drink on the terrace or by the open fire in the Boshut Forest Cabin, but above all, come and enjoy the many opportunities offered by the Hartje Groen.
